The portable Avance system can be used throughout therapy and is suitable for use in hospital or the home. Two canister sizes (300 and 800 ml) can be used on the same system. Having just one system means less training required for staff and an easier transition from hospital to home for patients.

The Avance pump is lightweight and comes with a unique docking station, giving patients greater mobility. It can be used with a choice of dressing kits, depending on the wound and a patient’s needs. For added comfort, kits are also available with Mepitel^®, the wound contact layer with Safetac^® technology, which minimizes pain and trauma at dressing removal.

The Avance system is available to rent, either in the short or long term or to purchase. Mölnlycke Health Care provides clinical and technical support, along with initial training and ongoing advice.

Avance is very easy to use. Using the same system throughout the therapy means less training for nurses, saving time and money, while simplifying the patient transition from hospital to home.

There is a choice of 2 canisters (800 ml and 300 ml) – both sizes can be used on the same system. The Avance system has a docking station to give patients freedom to move. You can select dressing kits with foam or gauze, depending on the wound and the clinical outcome you want to achieve. For added comfort, Mepitel® can be used.

Avance Foam dressing kit contain: 1 foam dressing, 1 Avance transparent film (Medium and Large kits contain 2 film dressings), 1 flat drain tube. Mepitel is optional.

Avance gauze dressing kits contains: 1 gauze dressing,1 Avance transparent film (Medium and Large kits contain 2 film dressings), 1 flat drain tube. Mepitel is optional.

The Avance is indicated for patients with: Chronic wounds including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers; Partial-thickness burns; Dehisced wounds; Flaps and grafts; Traumatic; Surgical (sternal/abdominal/extremity).

At this time the Avance is not indicated for use on open abdominal patients and paediatrics patients.
