Mepilex® Border Post-Op is an all-in-one post-op dressing that effectively absorbs and retains blood and surgical exudate. It is intended for acute wounds, such as surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions. It is optimised for post-op use and blood absorption. The Safetac® interface ensures that the dressing can be changed without damaging the wound or surrounding skin3.

How to use Mepilex® Border Post-Op

Mepilex Border Post-Op is designed for exuding wounds. It is intended for acute wounds, such as surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions. It is optimised for post-op use and blood absorption. The Flex technology provides very high flexibility making it ideal for use over joints, such as hips and knees4.

Each dressing size is optimised based on needed absorbency, flexibility and stay-on-ability. Sizes 20cm and larger have an absorbed pad for highly exudating wounds and smaller sizes have an absorbent pad for moderate to highly exudating wounds.

 

Frequency of change
Mepilex Border Post-Op may be left in place for several days depending on the condition on the wound and the surrounding skin, or as indicated by accepted clinical practice.
