The skin is a possible source of contamination1

Patient's skin is a major source of pathogens that cause surgical-site infection, optimization of preoperative skin antisepsis may decrease postoperative infections.2 There is a significant relationship between positive skin culture and wound infection rates, suggesting that the skin is a possible source of contamination.3 The whole body washing procedure or general skin cleansing procedure with HiBi® antiseptics provides a safe and efficient way of disinfecting the patient’s body.
