Mölnlycke Health Care, the world-leading provider of surgical and wound care products is hosting a 600-mile charity cycle to raise money for UK Registered charity, DEBRA.
DEBRA supports individuals and families affected by genetic skin disorder, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), often known as the worst condition you’ve never heard of. EB causes painful wounds and blistering at the slightest contact. There are an estimated 10,000 sufferers in the UK, and over 500,000 worldwide.
As a leader in the health care sector, Mölnlycke Health Care feels a strong sense of commitment both to the medical profession and to patients undergoing treatment – and has supported DEBRA for many years.
The company’s UK teams, centred in Dunstable and Oldham, are going to collaboratively cycle the distance between DEBRA’s charity shops. That’s 600 miles or the distance from Poole, Dorset to Lochee, Dundee! Whilst our teams peddle for the pounds from the 26th October till the 6th November, anyone can help by donating to DEBRA’s cause through our JustGiving page https://www.justgiving.com/Distance-for-Debra/
Jamie Brannan, General Manager of Mölnlycke Health Care UK commented, ‘EB is a heartbreaking disease. We are proud to support DEBRA in their excellent care and ground-breaking research into finding effective treatments.’
