Back for good

By: Mölnlycke Health Care, May 9 2016Posted in: Product news

Our two year, £2 million transformation project to bring the production of our Sterets®
liquid sachet products in-house is now complete – and we hope you’ll agree it has been worth the wait!

From 1st June 2015 our 100ml Normasol®, Unisept and Tisept sachets are available again, the final step in our journey to improve product quality and ensure a more sustainable supply.

Here at Mölnlycke Health Care we always work hard to improve our products’ performance and quality, and constantly strive to create the reliable supply chain our customers need.Sterets Liquid Sachets in production at the Oldham manufacturing plant

As part of this ongoing commitment we reviewed the production of our Sterets
sachet range, which were produced by an external manufacturing partner, and decided
to bring the manufacturing of these items in-house. It was a big challenge, involving the transfer of production to a new custom-built pharmaceutical production base at our factory site in Oldham, UK, but it means we can now control production and quality more closely and take advantage of opportunities for new product development.

Getting it right for you

As with all ambitious projects of this size, we were impacted with unforeseen setbacks
which we managed in the best way, utilising all resources available to us. Now that this project has concluded we can positively reflect on what has been achieved:

  • Continued investment in UK manufacturing
  • MHRA authorisation of the new facility & installation
  • Full quality & regulatory release of new in-house produced sachets
  • Stable supply of 25ml & now 100ml sachets

We are now fully up and running, with all the benefits of in-house advanced clean room manufacturing, and a more reliable and sustainable product supply.

That’s good news for us, good news for our customers and also a boost for the North
West economy, where our ambitious investment in the Oldham factory has been warmly welcomed.

We owe you our thanks

Your patience and loyalty have been much appreciated during this transition period.
We’re confident that going forward, you’ll feel significant benefits as we continue to find new ways to innovate and improve user satisfaction.

Our Sterets transition is complete, but we certainly won’t be standing still. Let’s talk
about where we’re heading, and about your future sterile wound cleansing and irrigation requirements. With 100ml sachets available once more across the range, you now have a complete portfolio of purchase options!
