Can your wound contact layer be used in conjunction with NPWT?

By: Mölnlycke Health Care, March 14 2016Posted in: Product news

54 percent1 of clinicians interviewed did not know whether their preferred wound contact layer could be safely used under negative pressure wound therapy.

Not all wound contact layers can be safely used under negative pressure wound treatment.    At Mölnlycke Health care we take patient safety seriously that's why both our Mepitel® and Mepitel® One contact layers are indicated for use in conjunction with Avance® or other NPWT system2,3.

This application is also backed up by extensive medical evidence, demonstrating the effectiveness of our wound contact layers in more than 140 patients receiving NPWT 4-11.

To check whether your contact layer is indicated for use under NPWT, read the instructions for use leaflet which comes within the packaging.
