Towards a common goal
At Mölnlycke, we support and commit to reputable international initiatives, as climate change is our common challenge. We believe that collaboration is the most effective way to achieve results.
Sustainable Development Goals
Mölnlycke fully supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by United Nations, as they provide a clear compass for sustainable business growth and development and are in line with our own agenda of creating shared value.
We have a clear and vested interest in working to develop and scale up sustainable business solutions1, using the SDGs as a lens to address challenges, build a strong growth strategy and access new markets along the way.
We continue to develop business opportunities in alignment with the SDGs and focus on the goals below, where we think we can have the biggest impact:
In December 2022 we joined the network of companies taking action on climate change by committing to set both near-term emission reduction targets, as well as Net Zero targets, in line with the criteria and recommendations set by the Science Based Targets initiative. This is a major milestone in our journey to Net Zero by 2050 at the latest.
Awards, disclosures and ratings
Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) aims to make environmental reporting and risk management a business norm, driving disclosure, insight, and benchmarking. We report climate risks and low carbon opportunities through the CDP Climate questionnaire for the benefit of all our stakeholders. In 2022 CDP awarded Mölnlycke a B rating, higher than average for a medical supply company.
The Task force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) provides information to investors on companies’ governance and actions to mitigate the risks of climate change. We support the recommendations from Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and include those disclosures in our external sustainability reporting.
